| Effective Monday, October 16, 2000, the new "GLOBEX Trading Engine Response Time Summary report will be available to all clearing member firms via InfoPac on a weekly basis. Report Purpose The purpose of this report is twofold. First, it illustrates how transactions done on GLOBEX meet the established GLOBEX Service Level, which is defined as follows: The system response time average is less than or equal to 2 seconds, not to exceed 4 seconds 98% of the time when calculated over a one minute period.
It can also be used by GLOBEX users as a vehicle to verify that GLOBEX is consistently providing a "level playing field" for all transactions, as it was originally designed to do. All users receive the same service in terms of response time and transaction processing. Report Content The report provides firms with a summary of the GLOBEX transactions processed by each of their SLEs on a weekly basis. The data shown on the report is categorized in several different ways to demonstrate that, when you need it the most during the peak trading periods, GLOBEX is performing as you would expect. In addition to total daily transactions and the average TPS (transactions per second), the report shows the average TPS in the peak minute for those seconds when trading activity actually occurred.
